History

We have been in our current location with our current name since late 2005. However, Lubbock Heart Surgery carries on a 30 plus year legacy of physicians past and present for providing premier cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery services to Lubbock and the surrounding areas. Throughout our history physicians of this practice have been responsible for many cardiac surgery milestones such as the first open heart and heart transplant surgeries in Lubbock and the surrounding area. Our physicians and support staff are unwavering in their commitment to provide the highest quality patient care through exceptional skill and cutting-edge technology.

Possessing excellent training and experience, our board certified physicians continue to elevate their skills and the level of surgical care in the region by being thoroughly trained in state-of-the-art procedures such as the Maze procedure for atrial fibrillation and endovascular procedures for abdominal and thoracic aortic disease. Such procedures allow us to provide the best and safest patient care possible while minimizing patient recovery time.

To best serve our patients we are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for patient care at Covenant Health System, Lubbock Heart Hospital, and/or UMC Health System. This practice works as a team to ensure the outstanding and comprehensive health care that our patients deserve.
